HORATIO (Character)

Horatio may have the fewest lines out of all the main characters but he remains one of the most nessesary to this play. Many directors choose to parce down Horatio's lines which causes him to be "absent" from the play. What many do not realize, or realize and choose to take their play in this direction, is that Horatio justifies everything Hamlet does. Horatio is the one that brings us to mourn Hamlet's loss despite the chaos and madness that surround the tragedy. Without Horatio we get a very different play.
